An EEG pipeline for motor imagery: MNE-Python preprocessing (bandpass filters, ICA artifact rejection, CSP features) and SVM and CNN classifiers, checked against PhysioNet data. Now scoping a vision-only version that estimates attention and fatigue from a camera.
Set up Mistral 7B running fully offline using llama.cpp and GGUF quantization. Mostly wanted to understand how quantization works and what you lose at 4-bit. Inference at about 12 tokens/sec on CPU. Useful for air-gapped environments.
Experimented with variational quantum circuits on Qiskit. ZZFeatureMap encodes classical data into quantum states, VQC trained via COBYLA. Hit 92% test accuracy against 79% for a classical SVM, on a dataset small enough that the gap needs more data before I'd trust it.
Built a multi-node transformer QA system across 3 partitions with federated inference and ensemble voting. More of an architecture learning exercise than a production system, wanted to understand distributed inference at a small scale.
OpenCV + MediaPipe webcam pipeline with a custom CNN classifier on top. Runs at 30fps, all CPU inference under 40ms. Built it to learn how to build a training pipeline for custom gesture data.
Fine-tuned GPT-2 on biographical text data. After a few epochs it started producing convincing responses. More of an experiment in understanding fine-tuning mechanics than a practical tool.
Lancer, a ThinkCentre M73 Tiny in India, runs Immich, Jellyfin, Navidrome, Home Assistant and Frigate in Docker. Stella, a Beelink mini PC in Guildford, takes the heavier local model work. Both sit on one Tailscale network.
A self-hosted vault for coursework. An agent turns lecture documents and slide images into searchable notes using local models on Ollama, with a web queue board and a Discord bot for status and alerts.
A four-person capstone that matches a CV against job descriptions and builds a learning roadmap for the gaps. I built the FastAPI backend (CV parsing, LLM skill extraction, sentence-transformer similarity) plus hosting and integration.
